MUSIC: Cardi B threatens to beat Nicki Minaj Again

Cardi B has come for Nicki Minaj again.

This time, she’s threatening to not only physically assault her, but also to pursue legal action against her.

Cardi ripped into Nicki on Monday during a social media tirade.

This comes after Nicki went on her Queen Radio show and spilled more details about their New York Fashion Week fight which left Cardi with a knot on her forehead.

During the expletive-filled tirade, Cardi B called Nicki a snitch for claiming Rah Ali beat Cardi up during the fight.

The new mother said she’s tired of the back and forth and invited Nicki to settle the fight with their fists.

Nicki is offering $100k to anyone who’s willing to leak footage of the altercation between her and Cardi at the NYFW, adding that she’s willing to take Cardi to court.

But Cardi said she should sue Nicki for defamation.

SPORTS: Leicester to face Cardiff after Vichai’s Tragic Death

Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha

Leicester have confirmed their Premier League clash at Cardiff will go ahead on Saturday following the tragic death of owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha.

Thai billionaire Vichai was among five people killed when his helicopter crashed outside Leicester’s King Power Stadium following Saturday’s match against West Ham.

With mourners flocking to the stadium and the crash site cordoned off as investigators picked through the wreckage, Leicester had already postponed Tuesday’s scheduled home League Cup tie against Southampton.

But the club announced on Tuesday that they will make the trip to south Wales to face Cardiff this weekend.

A minute’s silence will be observed before kick-off at the Cardiff City Stadium and players will wear black armbands in Vichai’s honor.

“Leicester City’s Premier League fixture at Cardiff City this Saturday will go ahead as scheduled, as the club continues its tributes to its late chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha,” a statement read.

“An announcement on the rearrangement of the club’s League Cup fourth-round tie against Southampton, postponed earlier this week, will be made in due course.”
Cardiff chief executive Ken Choo was respectful of Leicester’s wish to return to action seven days after the horrific accident.

“Following Saturday evening’s terrible events at King Power Stadium, the thoughts and feelings of Leicester City FC are at the forefront of our minds,” Choo said.

“As such, we will be offering our support to Leicester City in any way necessary in respect of this weekend’s fixture.” The death of the charismatic Vichai has stunned the football world, with tributes pouring in from around the globe.

Vichai’s heavy investment after buying Leicester in 2010 transformed the unglamourous club into shock Premier League champions as 5,000-1 outsiders in 2016.

The 60-year-old was widely admired in Leicester for his charitable donations to the local community. That warmth was reflected in the outpouring of grief following the news of Vichai’s death.

Vichai’s son Aiyawatt and widow Aimon walked through a sea of tributes from fans outside the stadium on Monday, including flowers, football scarves, and Buddhist statues.

Vichai’s son is chief executive of his father’s duty-free empire King Power and also vice-chairman of Leicester.

Aiyawatt was joined by the Leicester team, including striker Jamie Vardy, center-back Harry Maguire, and keeper Kasper Schmeichel, with the group pausing in a reflection in front of the flowers.

Leicester have also opened a book of condolence in memory of Vichai in a marquee at the stadium, while the City Hall and County Hall will light up in blue this week to honor Vichai.

The Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) are still conducting their investigation into what caused Saturday’s tragedy.

MUSIC: Seun Kuti Recounts horrible childhood experiences

Seun Kuti

Seun Kuti, son of late afro-beat maestro, Fela Anikulapo-Kuti, has warned musicians claiming to live his father’s musical legacy to stay away.

According to the controversial singer, though Fela’s music is for the listening pleasure of the entire world, his legacies are strictly for his children to protect and nurture because it was only his family that stood by him during the torture he suffered in his lifetime.

“Whatever you think Fela went through, he went through with his family. We were his rock. My mother used to tell me bedtime stories about all the scars on her. My step mum, Najite was the first person the soldiers saw in Kalakuta, she was swimming; they picked her up by her head from the pool and broke her neck! My mother had a broken bayonet stitched into her and she couldn’t walk for 18-months.

The amount of state-sanctioned violence I have seen in my life as a child. When I was 9 I saw the cops shoot and kill one of my dad’s boys in front of Afrikan Shrine and just left him there for nothing. Fela tried to protect us but you can’t protect anyone from that. You know these fucking cops would come to our house and just shoot up the place at least twice a week?

Do y’all know that? Or you think this is just a play? Fela’s music is a gift for the world and everyone is welcome but our legacy is ours alone to protect and nurture. Y’all fakers stay way back. This isn’t your space”, he fumed.

SPORTS: Manchester City win pitch battle as Mahrez sinks Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur’s Argentinian midfielder Erik Lamela (L) vies with Manchester City’s Algerian midfielder Riyad Mahrez during the English Premier League football match between Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City at Wembley Stadium in London, on October 29, 2018. (Photo by Ben STANSALL / AFP)

Pep Guardiola claimed Manchester City’s 1-0 win over Tottenham was extra special because of the problems posed by Wembley’s damaged pitch.

Playing on the scarred Wembley turf just 24 hours after it was torn up by an NFL fixture, City’s peerless quality and a predatory finish from Riyad Mahrez helped them win the pitch battle.

A sixth victory from their last seven league games lifted Guardiola’s unbeaten side back above Liverpool on goal difference.

And the City manager admitted he was relieved to see his players cope with the treacherous conditions.

“It was a great victory in special conditions, against one of the most physical teams in Europe,” he said. “It was not football conditions to play. We reacted well. For our players and the players of Tottenham, hopefully they will sort the problem for the future.

“It’s a question for the Premier League and Tottenham. We were invited to come here today for the fixture hopefully they can solve that problem.”

Guardiola hailed City’s Champions League win over Shakhtar Donetsk last week as the finest display of his reign in Manchester.

This was a far more prosaic performance as City’s defenders took centre stage, equalling the club record of six consecutive league clean-sheets. Guardiola was frustrated that City wasted several chances to kill off Tottenham and warned them they must improve if they want to retain the title and win the Champions League.

“We had many chances. We needed to score and we didn’t.

We have a lot of things to improve,” he said. “Of course we are very good side, I’m not saying the opposite, but if you are going to play in the later stages of big competitions we need things we don’t have at the moment. “We will talk and work and hopefully we can improve.”

It was a dispiriting evening for fifth-placed Tottenham, who now trail City by five points after their first league defeat in five games. Tottenham defender Toby Alderweireld blamed the pitch, saying: “I have to be honest, the pitch wasn’t good.

“Both teams like to play out from the back and to play football in these circumstances, it was very difficult.” But his manager Mauricio Pochettino was more frustrated by the woeful defending that led to City’s goal.

“The circumstances of the pitch were the same for both sides. It was the kind of cheap goal you cannot concede in this type of game. Football will punish you,” Pochettino said. “I’m proud of the effort, we created a lot of chances. Last season it was difficult to compete against Manchester City, but today the level was closer.”

– Flowing move –
Pochettino’s cause wasn’t helped by the presence of the Jacksonville Jaguars and the Philadelphia Eagles at Tottenham’s temporary home a day earlier.

There were large areas of worn brown turf down the middle and both flanks, while the NFL logo in the center circle and yard-line markers the length of the pitch were all still visible.

But Manchester City was unfazed as they raced into the lead after just six minutes. Tottenham defender Kieran Trippier misjudged a long kick from City goalkeeper Ederson, his errant header allowing Raheem Sterling to steal possession and cut past him into the penalty area.

Sterling showed tremendous composure as he picked out Mahrez’s run and the Algerian finished the raid with a clinical close-range finish. It was an emotional moment for former Leicester star Mahrez just 48 hours after the death of Foxes owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha in a helicopter crash outside the club’s King Power Stadium on Saturday.

Mahrez pointed his fingers to the sky in what appeared to be a tribute to Vichai. Manchester City seemed less troubled by the surface and they scythed through the Tottenham defence with a flowing move that ended with Hugo Lloris pushing Mahrez’s drive onto a post.

Sent clean through on goal by Erik Lamela’s pass, Harry Kane had a golden chance to equalize but his poor first touch, which couldn’t be blamed on the turf, allowed Anderson to block with his legs.

In an interview with Israeli TV Channel 1, Kanu said he was “smuggled out” of the country with the help of relatives.

IPOB was the target of a Nigerian army operation code-named Operation Python Dance, launched in the south-east.

I continued to practice my Jewish religion,” he said. “And one day, the Nigerian army came to my house to kill me. They killed 28 people in their attempt to kill me.

“My people evacuated me before they came to my bedroom. They took me away and smuggled me out of Nigeria.

I needed some time to recover  which I did and then, had to make my way to Israel.”

The IPOB leader added that he feels “relieved” that he “managed to make it” to Israel, “the only place I feel safe in the world.”

He said he could have gone back to England (where he had been for years) “but I still don’t feel safe in England. That is why I stayed back in Israel.”

The Shiite members, in their hundreds, had assembled at Nyanya, where they began a procession and barricaded the road thereby preventing motorists and other road users from accessing the road.

Srivaddhanaprabha was one of five people who died in a helicopter crash at the club’s stadium on Saturday.

DESTINED TO LAST

Thou shalt come to thy grave in a full age, like as a shock of corn cometh in his season. Job 5:26

From our anchor scripture above, it is clear that man was created by God to last on the earth.

This was the original plan of God before Satan introduced sin to man. Immediately man embraced sin, he started to sink; man began to die before his time. Iniquity is the foundation for mortality; iniquity invites calamity.

Beloved, God did not design man to fade away rapidly, The destiny of man is to live long. Man was wired unto durability; Divinity positioned humanity for longevity.

This is evident in the lives of the covenent people of old. In Genesis 5:1-32, from Adam to Noah, apart from Enoch who was taken bodily to heaven without death at age 365, nobody was permitted to die before the age of seven hundred and seventy-seven (777) years.

This means that to die prematurely is an abomination of Divide agenda of longevity for humanity.

Thus, it is your right to live long. No devil is permitted to take your life before your time.

By the mantle of God upon my life, I prophesy to you that your life shall not be cut short. You shall fulfil your days; you shall last long, in Jesus Name.

REMEMBER THIS: Man was wired unto durability; Divinity positioned humanity for longevity.

  1. Consciously know and accept your covenant right for long life.
  2. Confess and repent from any sin that can arrest your durability on earth.

PRAYER:  I thank You for Your Word to me today. I thank You for Your longevity agenda for my life. I resist every spirit of death after my life. I shall fulfil my days on earth, in Jesus Name.
